Local Music Organizers Invited to Join New MPS Combine Host Program (BETA)

Hampton Roads, VA - September 6, 2025 — Music-Performance Sports (MPS), the organization pioneering music competition into a competitive sport, has launched a new Combine Host Membership Program (BETA) to partner with local showcase organizers, open mic hosts, and music competition producers. The program gives community leaders the chance to host official scouting combines for the Song vs Song (SvS) Draft in November 2026.
The initiative aims to bring more opportunities to independent artists at the local level while strengthening grassroots music communities. By becoming an MPS Combine Host, local businesses and organizers can transform their existing events into official talent showcases where artists may be scouted and ranked for a shot at the SvS Sports League.
“Every city has hidden talent waiting to be discovered,” said MPS founder, Juan A. Thompson. “This program allows local event organizers to shine a spotlight on artists in their community, while also connecting them to something much bigger, a professional music-sports league.”

Recognition as an Official MPS Combine Host (BETA).
Co-branding and promotion through MPS marketing channels.
A chance to boost their event’s visibility and attract new artists.
Direct role in helping local talent reach the SvS Draft.

What’s Required
Host at least one qualifying showcase or competition before October 15, 2026.
Use MPS scoring standards: Delivery, Song Quality, and Radio Readiness.
Provide event footage and scoring data for MPS evaluation.
The BETA membership fee is $250, with limited spots available for early adopters.
Program Timeline
Fall 2025 – Spring 2026: Recruitment of local Combine Hosts.
Jan – Oct 2026: Combines take place across participating communities.
November 2026: SvS Draft, where artists are officially drafted into the league.
