64 INDEPENDENT ARTISTS (ELITE 64) WILL QUALIFY TO COMPETE IN THE FIRST-EVER NATIONAL ONLINE SONG VS SONG SPORTS GAME.

HAMPTON ROADS, VA - Music-Performance Sports League (MPS) will officially unveil “The Elite 64” this November, the 64 independent artists selected to compete in the highly anticipated 2027 SvS-US Championship, the premier online Song vs Song tournament designed to rank the nation’s top independent artists.

Widely regarded by industry professionals as one of the most innovative competitive music competitions in the country, the SvS-US Championship is the first-ever competition structured to identify and rank America’s top independent artists through head-to-head online song battles.

The road to becoming one of “The Elite 64” begins in June with eMICS, a four-game online song vs song summer series where artists compete in weekly “Heats.” Winners of any Heat automatically advance to the eMICS Championship in July. The eMICS Champion earns the first official roster spot in the 2027 SvS-US Championship.

2nd SvS-Qualifier

In August, the second qualification path comes through "The League", a conference-based game featuring East and West Conferences with up to 20 players per conference. Artists battle song vs song to improve their standings and secure positions in their respective conference championships. The League champion receives the second spot on the SvS-US roster.

The final and most competitive qualification process arrives in October during the SvS Selection Rounds, where the SvS Selection Committee will determine the remaining 62 roster spots through a rigorous three-round song selection process. Following deliberations, Music-Performance Sports will officially announce the complete “Elite 64” roster in November.

Beginning in January 2027, the Elite 64 will compete in the five-round, single-elimination online Song vs Song tournament to determine the next SvS-US Champion.

The 2027 SvS-US Champion will receive:

• $10,000 cash prize

• The SvS-US Championship Belt

• The #1 ranking in the MPS-US TOP 32 Rankings

• US-Champion Digital Trading Card

• Automatic bid into the SvS Team Draft (Pro Division) in November (Tentative)

  
  

The MPS-US TOP 32 Rankings are expected to become one of the most respected

recognition systems in independent music, spotlighting the nation’s premier unsigned and independent artists. Artists ranked in the TOP 32 will receive national recognition and potential business opportunities that could help elevate their careers in the music industry.

Additionally, every artist who earns a place on the Elite 64 roster will automatically receive a bid into the November 2027 SvS Team Draft, the professional division draft for the Song vs Song Sports League (SvS).
