WHAT ARE MPS-ATHLETES?

MPS-Athletes are a new generation of independent artists competing within the Music-Performance Sports ecosystem. Through the Song vs. Song Sports League (SvS), they build their careers by participating in sanctioned online and live games for national rankings and championships, beginning at the amateur level and, if drafted, advancing to the professional ranks.

 

Much like traditional athletes, MPS-Athletes grow their fan bases, visibility, and market value by competing. This competitive platform opens the door to a wide range of business opportunities, including sponsorships, endorsements, media exposure, label deals, touring, merchandising, brand partnerships, and sustainable long-term careers.

The MPS-Athlete Membership is the official annual membership program for independent artists competing within Music-Performance Sports.

For only $25 per year, members receive official recognition as an MPS athlete, exclusive membership benefits, and opportunities to gain exposure through the growing Music-Performance Sports network.

 

Music-Performance Sports welcomes both human independent artists and AI artists to participate in the evolution of this innovative sport.

Annual Membership Fee

$25 ANNUALLY

Membership remains active for 12 months from the purchase date.

Eligibility Requirements

The MPS-Athlete Membership is exclusively open to:

  • Independent artists, human and AI

  • Independent producers

  • All genres

  • Ages 18 and up

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Game Eligibility

ALL MPS GAMES ARE HELD ONLINE WHERE INDEPENDENT ARTISTS COMPETE SONG vs SONG

To compete in official MPS games, leagues, tournaments, and championships, independent artists must be unsigned artists at the time of competition unless otherwise approved by Music-Performance Sports.

Artists signed to major label recording agreements, major distribution deals, or other restricted contracts are deemed ineligible.

​

Music-Performance Sports reserves the right to review artist eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

  • Membership benefits are subject to MPS rules, regulations, and policies.

  • Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • Music-Performance Sports does not guarantee placement, contracts, representation, or business deals through membership exposure opportunities. Opportunities are based on independent interest from third parties within the MPS network.

  • Members must own or control the rights necessary to submit and compete with their music and content.

  • Membership may be suspended or revoked for fraud, misconduct, copyright violations, or violations of league rules.
