Account and Competition Information

Participants in MPSL competitions may provide additional information necessary to administer games, leagues, tournaments, rankings, qualifications, player profiles, eligibility, scoring, awards, and other competition-related activities.

Certain competition information may be displayed publicly as part of the sports and entertainment experience, including an artist's name, stage name, photograph, team, division, songs, scores, rankings, wins and losses, competition history, championships, awards, and other publicly designated player information.

Payment and Transaction Information

If you make a payment through our Services, such as a registration fee, submission fee, late submission fee, ticket purchase, merchandise purchase, franchise-related payment, or other transaction, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment processor.

MPSL may receive transaction-related information such as your name, transaction amount, payment status, date, order information, and a transaction or payment identifier.

We may not directly receive or store complete credit or debit card numbers when payments are processed through an independent payment processor.

4. Music, Media, and Artist Submissions

Artists and other authorized users may submit music, recordings, images, artwork, biographies, promotional materials, links, and other content through our Services.

Information and content designated for competition or public display may be presented to judges, officials, administrators, fans, viewers, other participants, or the general public as necessary to operate Music-Performance Sports competitions.

Submitting content does not transfer ownership of that content to MPSL except to the extent expressly provided in the applicable competition rules, participant agreement, content license, Terms of Use, or other agreement.

Separate terms may govern intellectual property rights and licenses associated with competition submissions.

5. Voting, Ratings, Scores, and Rankings

Our Services may allow fans, judges, officials, administrators, or other authorized users to rate, vote on, evaluate, or score competing music.

We may collect information associated with those activities to:

  • Calculate competition results

  • Generate ratings and scores

  • Maintain player rankings

  • Prevent duplicate, fraudulent, automated, or manipulated voting

  • Audit competition results

  • Maintain the integrity of Music-Performance Sports competitions

Competition results, player rankings, ratings, scores, records, and related statistics may be publicly displayed.

6. Third-Party Music and Technology Services

Our Services may interact with or provide links to third-party platforms and services.

These may include music streaming services, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, email providers, social-media platforms, authentication services, cloud infrastructure providers, and other technology partners.

When you interact directly with a third-party service, that company's privacy policy and terms may govern its collection and processing of your information.

MPSL is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

7. Spotify and Apple Music

Certain MPSL services may permit users to submit or access links or information associated with music available through Spotify, Apple Music, or other authorized music services.

Use of those third-party platforms remains subject to their respective terms, privacy policies, and developer requirements.

MPSL's integration with or reference to a third-party platform does not imply that the third party sponsors or endorses MPSL unless an official relationship has been expressly identified.

Music-Performance Sports is structured around public competition, rankings, statistics, and entertainment.

Accordingly, certain participant information may intentionally be public.

  • Artist or player name

  • Artist photograph

  • Biography

  • General geographic representation, such as city and state

  • Team or division

  • Competition songs

  • Matchups

  • Scores

  • Ratings

  • Rankings

  • Records

  • Competition history

  • Awards and championships

  • Interviews and authorized promotional content

Users should not submit information intended for public display that they do not want publicly available.

MPSL seeks to use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain.
