The SvS-US Championship is the premier national ranking tournament of Music-Performance Sports, featuring a 32-player roster of independent artists. SvS-US Championship results produce the "MPS-US RANKINGS."
The MPS-US RANKINGS is the first-ever national ranking for independent artists. It has been regarded as a future primary A&R resource for industry professionals seeking to develop and sign talent. Players who made the SvS-US Championship are also eligible to join the biennial SvS-Draft (Pro Division).
To secure a berth in the national championship, you must:

Win one of the four season games,
-
Be selected by the SvS Selection Committee, or
-
Be selected as a Wildcard
The route to the SvS-US Championship:
-
1st - U.S. Open Champion
-
2nd - SvS Cup Champion
-
3rd - eMICS Summer League Champion
-
4th and 5th - SvS-US Trials East Division Champion/ West Division Champion
-
6th through 30th - Selections (SvS-US Selection Committee)
-
31st and 32nd - Wildcard Selections (National Public Vote)
The SvS–U.S. Championship Selection Rounds are a three-round evaluation process used to determine the 6th through 30th bids to the SvS–U.S. Championship.
Any independent artist may be considered for selection. However, artists who have competed in the current Music-Performance Sports season receive greater consideration based on their competitive performance and demonstrated ability.
Artists are evaluated using the following criteria:

Current Season Performance – Results in current season SvS games.
-
Song Competitiveness – The song's ability to perform in head-to-head competition based on quality, execution, and competitive strength.
-
Commercial Potential – The song's potential for audience appeal, marketability, streaming success, and radio viability.
The SvS-US Wildcard Selection Round is a four-day online competition that provides one final opportunity for independent artists to qualify for the SvS-US Championship.
Up to 10 independent artists who were not selected during the initial SvS-US Selection Committee process will compete in the Wildcard Round. During the event, the general public will evaluate and rate each competing song to determine its APRS (Average Public Rating Score).
At the conclusion of the four-day voting period:

The two songs with the highest APRS (Average Public Rating Score) will earn the 31st and 32nd bids into the SvS-US Championship.

These artists will complete the 32-player championship field.

SONG COMPLIANCE POLICY
Players are expected to compete with songs that are ready for commercial release. So, songs are expected to be radio-edited, professionally mixed, and mastered. No exceptions.
And keep in mind, whether you win or lose a match, a strong song can attract new fans, generate more streams, and create lasting impressions with listeners and industry professionals looking.
AI MUSIC ELIGIBILITY POLICY
Songs that are 100% AI-generated are not permitted in Music-Performance Sports games.
AI-Generated means a song was created entirely from an AI prompt, with no meaningful human creative contribution to the songwriting, composition, or production.
AI-Assisted means a human creator developed significant portions of the song and used AI as a creative tool to enhance or refine the work. Examples include:

Human-written lyrics with AI-assisted editing or refinement.
-
Human-composed melodies or instrumentals enhanced with AI production tools.
-
Human-produced recordings that use AI for mixing, mastering, vocal cleanup, or other production enhancements.
AI may be used as an assistive tool, but the artist must remain the primary creative force behind the work.
Live Performance Requirement:
Music-Performance Sports games are primarily held online where only songs compete. However, certain rounds of competition will require players to perform live on stage before judges and a live audience.
Players must be able to authentically perform the songs they submit. Songs that cannot reasonably be performed live by the competing artist, or that rely primarily on AI-generated performances rather than the artist's own abilities, are deemed ineligible for league play.
