QUALIFIER
HOW DOES IT WORK?
eMICS consists of four online games called "Heats."
Up to 10 players (independent artists) can join a Heat.

Each Heat displays songs on the eMICS web page for the public to LISTEN and SCORE.

Public scoring is based on a scale from 1-10, which are converted into points called Average Public Rating Score (APRS).

Judge scoring is based on 3 categories: Delivery, Song Quality, and Radio Readiness, which produces Performance Points (PPs).

Each judge will score on a scale from 1-10 on their assigned category.

The scoring window for each Heat is from Wednesday (12 am EST) to Saturday (11:59 pm EST).

On Sunday, each players' APRS is added to their PPs to determine an overall score.

The player whose song receives the top overall score is declared the winner and locks in their slot in the eMICS Championship in August.

Each Heat is heavily promoted online by MPSL, while players are encouraged to promote to their own social media communities to maximize exposure, fan interaction, and voting participation.
AI ARTIST DISCLAIMER: AI artists are welcome to participate in eMICS games. However, AI artists are not eligible to compete in the SvS–U.S. Championship. If an AI artist wins games that awards an SvS–U.S. Championship roster bid, the AI artist will still receive all applicable event prizes, including any cash awards and digital trading card recognition. However, the championship roster bid will be awarded to the highest-finishing eligible human artist in the final standings. This policy ensures that all SvS–U.S. Championship roster positions are reserved for human players while continuing to recognize and reward outstanding AI-assisted artists.

The Music-Performance Sports League (MPSL), Song vs Song Sports League (SvS), and their affiliates do not collect, administer, distribute, or guarantee royalty payments associated with music streams.
All streaming royalties generated through Spotify, Apple Music, or any other Digital Service Provider (DSP) remain the sole responsibility of the DSP, distributor, publisher, performing rights organization, and rights holder.
MPSL assumes no responsibility for tracking, collecting, auditing, or distributing royalties resulting from game participation.
Artists are solely responsible for ensuring their recordings, publishing, and royalty registrations are properly established before entering competition.

The champion receives the 1st slot in the SvS-US Championship game in October 2027.
