NJ's Ask Andy Shocks ATL's Sophia Sharee to Advance to the SvS Golden Mic

[September 15, 2025] – Hampton Roads, VA – The first round of the SvS Playoffs, the Silver Mic did not disappoint, with fans witnessing a razor-thin finish and one of the biggest upsets of the postseason so far.

In Match 1, [3] RBTO (Manila, Philippines) scored a narrow victory over [6] Best Slim Ever (Nigeria), 26.4 – 26.1. RBTO’s track connected with fans and judges just enough to edge out Slim’s powerful entry in one of the closest games of the season.

The headline of the night came in Match 2, where [5] Ask Andy (Sussex, NJ) shocked the bracket by defeating [4] Sophia Sharee (Atlanta, GA), 35.8 – 32.1. Andy’s song performance resonated with voters and judges alike, pushing him past a higher seed and into the Golden Mic.

The SvS Golden Mic voting begins Wednesday, September 17th, with two matchups that will decide who advances to the league’s championship game, the SvS SUPER MIC:
