Newport News, VA — The Music-Performance Sports League (MPSL) continues to redefine digital music competition with the second installment of its Song vs Song (SvS) Preseason, which aired online on July 5, 2025. With five intense matchups featuring independent artists from across the U.S. and abroad, Game 2 proved once again that music is now a sport.
From lyrical heat to radio-ready anthems, fans and judges cast their votes in real-time, producing a thrilling round of results:
✅ Ask Andy (Sussex, NJ) edged out LadyofSoull (Winston Salem, NC) with a close 13.9 - 12.1 win
✅ Michael Marshall (Chicago, IL) brought the pressure, defeating Ryan Mackin (Hope Valley, RI) 26 - 17.5
✅ Best Slim Ever (Oshodi, Lagos State, Nigeria) made a strong statement, beating 4160Volts (Hendersonville, TN) 22.9 - 12.1
✅ TCB Domino (LaGrange, GA) powered past KeldaMuzik (San Francisco, CA) 28.5 - 19
✅ P The Emcee (Dayton, OH) closed the night with the highest score, dominating Mr $hine (Prattville, AL) 32.5 - 17
Each matchup was scored using the official SvS judging system, which combines fan votes with expert judge scores across Delivery, Song Quality, and Radio Readiness. The result? A competitive, entertaining, and fair format that empowers independent artists to perform like athletes—competing for glory, recognition, and advancement in the SvS league.
